Skills and requirements:

• BS.C/HND in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering and Chemistry

The Candidate must be able to perform the following functions:

• Modifies electrical proto types to correct functional deviation under direction of Electrical engineer
• Diagnoses causes of electrical or Mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventive and corrective maintenance
• Plans, directs and records periodic electrical testing and recommends or initiates modification or replacements of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
• Build calibrate, maintain troubleshoot or repair electrical instruments or testing equipment
•  Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problem
• Install or maintain electrical control systems or solid state equipment
• Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revision, deletions or amendments to outdated material 
• Plan, schedules and monitor work of support personnel to assist supervisor
• Maintain Electrical equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance function as directed
• Comply with Company safety guidelines and procedures.

The Candidate must be able to perform the following functions:

• Prepare test solution, compounds, and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct test
• Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships and reactions, utilizing chromatograph, spectroscopy and spectrophotometry techniques.
• Develop, improve and customize products, equipment, formulas, processes and analytical methods
• Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions
• Confer with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results or develop nonstandard test.
• Direct, coordinate and advise personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials
• Induce changes in composition of substances by introducing heat, light, energy and chemical catalysts for quantitative analysis
• Write technical papers and reports and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products and tests
• Study effects of various methods of processing, preserving and packaging on composition and properties of foods.
